Sorry I didn't keep this updated as I was too tired yesterday so I'll be combining day 2 and 3.
Lets start off by saying the bus ride was terrible. 12 hours I had to endure being sick on a bus that I could barely get any sleep on. No leg room, plus a guy snoring really loud. About 5 hours into the ride we stopped at some hill billy pit stop. They were playing like southern country music and they all looked like they live in a trailer park. When the bus stopped at the union station the guy that was unpacking the luggage had like a freak out at one of the passengers cause they wouldn't move lolol.
Spent the rest of the day resting soon as I got home.
End of day 2, I know not very exciting.
Day 3 -
Started the day off at 9:30am visiting the white house in which we had to be like 10 minutes away in order to take a picture, sigh. We then walked over to the washington monument, which is still under repair. After taking a few pictures we moved onto the lincoln memorial as well as the reflecting pool which wasn't very reflecting as it was filled in with cement, sigh... We then walked to the National History Museum which we spent 4 hours in, surprisingly. On the way back we stopped at the monument again to sit down and relax for a bit, which was a mistake for me as I wasn't wearing any sun protection and burnt my arms, neck, and face. We headed home afterwards totally exhausted but the day overall was amazing. Couldn't ask for anything better.
Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow I still have to sort through them.
